Mcmagain's daughter part 2

Then she finally got the coffee done, and poured it to the cup that she'd placed on the small table in front of where Anei was sitting. She sat down too, straightened her black little dress a little bit, and leaned her head on to her hand, smiling at Anei very sweetly. Anei's first thought was that she had something on her mind, something that she herself wouldn't like very much.

-Well, darling, a little change in subject, if you don't mind? See, we here have been wondering if you know mister Flame Njerdé in person? And don't get me wrong, honey, I'm not trying to use you in any way, it's just that we find mr. Njerdé a very intriguing person.

"You can shove that honey up your little ass, thank you very much, and keep those sticky fingers off my Flame", Anei thought to herself. Out loud she said, though:

-I think we should more like talk about my school-stuff, subjects and so on. So, what's up for me?

The honey-lady froze up just for a fraction of a second, but was instantly back on track.

-Of course! Glad you brought that up. Wait a second, please.

And she stood up and walked over to the other side of the room, where her desk was, grabbed a big pile of papers from on top of it, and walked back to hand them over to Anei.

-There are your papers, all you need to know is there. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to arrange a meeting with the mayor.

As the office door closed behind Anei, she just stood there for a while, trying to breathe deeply. She wasn't very good at meeting new people, let alone that type of people.

-So, you're obviously the mayor?

The quiet, a little raspy voice scared the living crap out of Anei, who then managed to drop half of the papers she was carrying. She kneeled down to pick them up, without even taking a look at the person who had talked to her. Called her "the mayor". Yep, that sounded like a bully for sure!

"So this is how it starts in this new, wonderful school of theirs, what was I even thinking, girl, you're just the type that gets bullied no matter where you go. Stupid."

Anei was thinking. The next thing she knew, she was looking at brown, quite large, leather shoes. She was obviously staring at the floor.

-Need help with those?

Now Anei had to look up. She found herself looking in the big, ice-blue eyes of a young man, who was wearing a playful grin on his lips.

-No, I don't need your help!

Anei almost shouted at the young man, who shrugged and walked away. Anei sighed, now realizing that the guy was most likely only trying to be friendly, and she didn't even give him a chance. By now, she was feeling that her first day in the new school was a complete failure, and just wanted to leave the place, as soon as possible. She decided to call Flame. He picked up on the third ringing.

-Hello, love! How's it going?

-Not so good, at school and failed everything. And I mean it.

-Hmm, I sincerely doubt it.

-Listen, Flame. I don't wanna be here anymore, and Jonathan's got probably all kinds of stuff to do, so where are you? Could you pick me up?

-Downtown at the moment. I can make it in fifteen.

-That's a deal!

-Got it. Bye.

-Bye.

Anei felt a lot better after talking to her best friend -an older guy, also her father's best friend! Mr. Njerdé was pretty good at this bestie-business.

If she'd had any other friends, they would probably have thought it a bit weird, not awkward though, as Flame was what they call "cool" in the eyes of even the youngsters of the city, he looked like a lead-singer of a japanese rock-band, was very thin in build, had large brown eyes, and eyebrows that gave him a kind of a sad look.
